Kiss is a sweet expression of Love. Madhavan after enjoying the smooch with Vidya Balan in 'Guru' opined that he would never go for a kiss again on screen. Apparently, a love scene in 'Tanu Weds Manu' and the beauty of Kangana Ranaut made him to break the promise.

Maddy[Manu], a guy from London arrives in India in search of bride falls in love with Kangana [tanu]. However she doesn't want to marry him and turns up drunk to rubbish the marriage proposal. Yet Madhavan loves her and locks the lips of Kangana with his lips to express his love.

Director felt that sweetness in the scene required a lip lock. Madhavan was apprehensive wrinkling lips uncomfortable. Kangana understood his situation and made him comfortable by easing her lips. so the lip lock was completed artistic.
